Be Clever Be Vegan: Clara Lago and Lorena Izquierdo’s vegan food brand

Actress Clara Lago and her partner Lorena Izquierdo chose our Hannun House to present their 100% plant-based healthy food project. The aim of BCBV is to promote veganism as an affordable alternative and to make life easier for vegans who don't have much time to cook.

“A diet free of animal protein, as well as being beneficial to health, generates less waste and considerably reduces environmental impact”, Clara Lago.

Some of the vegan recipes created by the nutritionist Cristina Rodrigo.

Clara and Lorena explained the brand's philosophy, based on their conviction that we can transform the world through food. Be Clever Be Vegan sends you a menu for the entire week, with meals supervised by the nutritionist Cristina Santiago, director of ProVeg Spain, and cooked by a chef specialising in vegan dishes.

The menus are made up of seasonal, local and organic fruit, vegetables and greens. And on top, the packaging is 100% recyclable too.

“The aim is to promote the vegan movement, empathy and awareness, and to demonstrate that people can approach veganism by eating healthy, organically sourced food”, Lorena Izquierdo.

The ’Spanish Affair' actress explained why they chose our showroom to welcome their most personal and committed project yet. The reason? They share with Hannun a respect for the environment and the conviction that we can relate in a more respectful way with our environment. Among the attendees were the actresses Leticia Dolera, Ingrid Rubio and Núria Gago; the nutritionist and founder of Macaranda, Carlota Bruna; the instagrammer Jenny (@soyvegana_jenny), the activist and lawyer Ibai (@ibai_vegan); and Ángela Linares and Bernat Ananos from Heura Foods, among others.

The attendees enjoyed a tasting of the best BCVC dishes.
