At Hannun, we’re working to transform this production model based onfast furniture,putting faith instead in a sustainable and respectful model, both in terms of the environment and our society. We know that a lot of companies make sustainable promises, but words aren’t enough. At Hannun, we’re transparent and respond to your demands, officially accrediting and certifying our products as sustainable and respectful of the environment.

We have both PEFC certification (Spanish Forest Sustainability Association. Licence PEFC/14-35-00535-AEN) and FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council. Licence: FSC-C160897), which confirms that we only use wood from sustainable forests. And that’s not all – we’re working towards our BCorp certification, which demonstrates our total social and environmental commitment.

At Hannun, we’re convinced this is the only way. To be conscious and responsible as a company, working to offer maximum transparency and exclude toxic and polluting elements from our processes. In addition, all our contracts with our suppliers are fair trade.

JOAN ÁLVAREZ

I come from a very humble family. At 16 years old I started creating companies, and by 18 I was awarded a scholarship to study Business Administration and Management at ESADE. I stopped studying to run my own business – and I love my job! Creating social value and contributing in some way to improving people’s lives is extremely satisfying and inspiring. To date, I’ve created 6 companies, lead various teams, and, in the last 10 years, I’ve raised more than 5 million euros in funding rounds. I’m hard-working, self-taught, inquisitive and intense.

MAURICI BADIA

/ Founder and Director of the Dep. of Culture (CCO) /

I’m an engineer with experience in international business development in large multinationals. I spent two years leading a team in China for a pharmaceutical company, and a further two years leading the Latin American expansion of a biotechnology company. When I was made redundant, I decided that I had to create the company I wanted to work for, respectful in all aspects. I founded Hannun. My goal is for you all to enjoy it as much as I do every day.
