Paula Tapia gave up her degree in Geology to open this workshop and dedicate herself to her great passion: pottery. Life has taken her to different corners of the world such as Argentina, England and Denmark, places where she has been in contact with local potters and ceramists. These experiences have led her to forge her own style and identity as an artist. Together with José, her life partner, she manages a studio located in the heart of Gràcia (Barcelona). A studio with the spirit of a home, where they design and produce ceramic pieces with a marked personality.
WHY DO WE WORK WITH Paula Tapia y José Baigorri?
Theirs is a pure love of traditional craftsmanship. They use different varieties of high temperature pastes and a wide range of glazes formulated by themselves. To shape the pieces they use the potter's wheel and the technique of modelling and painting by hand, piece by piece.
