A look at the past with a focus on the present. Although it may seem contradictory, that is the essence of Hannun's new collection of artisan ceramics: avant-garde and traditional at the same time.
Ceramics have been decorating our homes for centuries, but the art of pottery has not stopped evolving, modernising its forms to adapt to the trends of each era.
At Hannun we are once again turning the potter's wheel to give shape to our new collection of ceramic vases and dinnerware. We do it with Paula and José, founders of TIERRA, a ceramic workshop located in the heart of Gràcia (Barcelona) from where they organise different workshops and courses on this ancestral art.
They truly love crafts. In a constant search for new textures, colours and shapes, both give life to unique products designed for everyday use but without forgetting their decorative power. As they are handmade, the pieces present small differences that make them unique. There are no two alike!
In their creations they use different varieties of high-temperature fired pastes and a wide range of enamels formulated by themselves, with exclusive colours and finishes.
A unique collection
No other material combines functionality and beauty better than ceramic. It is a highly resistant material, easy to clean and even fire-resistant.
Opting for ceramics in the home does not harm the environment. Its production is totally sustainable as it is an organic and natural material: it is only made of mud or clay and water.
The TIERRA collection consists of several vases and two sets of tableware. There are designs to suit all tastes: from the bold explosion of colour of the Nandu vase, the Vitor vase and the Lina tableware set; through the captivating simplicity of the Enol vase or the Oyoze tableware set; the originality of the Llara vase and the Casiu vase; to the sinuous, rounded lines of the Selmo vase and the Xandru vase. Which one is your favourite?
