Ziula Bench

Features:

• Materials: Reclaimed nordic fir wood.
• The final finish may slightly differ from the images shown. This piece of furniture is crafted from aged and weathered Nordic spruce scaffold wood. Owing to its origin, each piece is unique, with mismatched slats, possible imperfections (knots, cracks, or crevices), and variations in tone.
• Treated with non-toxic water-based varnish.
• Suitable for indoors or outdoors.
• For outdoors, cover or protect when not in use.

Maintenance:

• Clean with a damp cloth.
• It is recommended to apply a coat of exterior varnish once a year.

The Ziula bench is made of solid wood from the controlled felling of Nordic spruce. It is called Ziula because in the Netherlands it is used in construction for scaffolding. When the scaffolding has to be replaced, the wood can be recovered to make furniture like this one.

Due to its origin, it is a very resistant wood with an aged and worn finish. It may have slight imperfections, such as knots, small cracks or changes in tone - that's the magic of the imperfect! It is treated with a toxic-free water-based varnish and although it is suitable for outdoor use, it is recommended to protect it from the rain and cover it when not in use.

This piece is handmade at Raquel's workshop in the town of San Roque, Cádiz.
